‘Regardless of circumstances, Christmas never gets cancelled. This is what most Christians were thinking while pandemic restrictions were in place.’
Our partners in Central Asia were not sure how to deliver the gifts to the children, but were quietly confident, that the Joy of Christmas could not be taken away. So, the gift boxes were prepared, filled with exciting goodies, and delivered to different locations.
There was much prayer made that God would not only send enough gift packages, but also prepare the hearts of children to hear the great news about the birth of Jesus.
We are pleased to report that in Central Asia, about 8000 children received gift packages which were instruments of witness to the birth of the King of Kings.
Milena was one of those who received a gift. Due to her mum’s difficult life situation they had to relocate to Almaty. The only accommodation found for them was a rehabilitation centre for addicts. The mother was not an addict, but because she did not have any shelter, she had very little choice. Due to her unusual circumstances, Milena was unlikely to receive a Christmas gift. But the Lord had already arranged everything and sent His children with a gift prepared especially for Milena.
When the gifts arrived, the girl was astonished, and her mum had tears of joy in her eyes. Milena was jumping with excitement. This child felt happy for the first time. The Joy of Christmas made the child happy and encouraged her mother. It was also a great encouragement to those who brought the gift to Milena.
We praise the Lord that He has made it all possible! Thank you so much for your active part in this project. Please, pray for the children in Central Asia.
